If you or an employee has an accident at work and has not received the appropriate competency training it could be disastrous for your company. Health and Safety on site is not a desirable requirement, it is essential. This link details your legal requirement as an employer or employee with regards to Health and Safety (H&S) at work. http://www.hse.gov.uk/voluntary/when-it-applies.htm
CEDIA is now an accredited ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) Health and Safety assessment centre, and this one day course is designed to help you understand the necessary site competency skills needed within the industry. You will leave this course with clear guidance and template documentation to protect you, your business and your team on site.
At the end of the course, if you do not already have a valid H&S assessment, you may sit the ECS exam. On successfully completing the exam you will receive confirmation from the ECA which will entitle you to apply for the appropriate ECS Card allowing you access to a building site.
If you have access to a laptop computer you will need to bring it along to carry out the H&S exam. In addition, you would need to provide us with a National Insurance Number and any form of picture ID.
