CEDIA HOSTS AGM AT LONDON TRANSPORT MUSEUM

The 2013 CEDIA AGM will take place at the London Transport Museum on Thursday 28th November where Wilfried Van Baelen, CEO of Auro Technologies and Galaxy Studios will be delivering the special keynote address on “3D Audio”.

“With the AGM event growing in popularity year on year, we wanted to make sure that those attending walk away energised, informed and keener than ever to get involved,” says Wendy Griffiths, CEDIA Region 1’s Executive Director. “Wilfried will set the tone perfectly with a presentation looking at the 3D Audio format and its likely resonance on the future of home cinema design. The AGM itself will provide an insight into CEDIA’s activities and initiatives, and will also see the results of elections for the new CEDIA Board revealed. Afterwards, we hope that as many people as possible will stay behind to make contacts and generally talk shop with each other.”

As Founder and CEO of Galaxy Studios and Auro Technologies, Wilfried Van Baelen is a pioneer of high-end surround sound production in the music and film industry.  Wilfried developed the ground-breaking "Auro-3D®" format, which was launched in 2006 at the AES convention in Paris and San Francisco. The Auro-3D® audio standard has now found its way into commercial cinemas and is set to become increasingly important for residential home cinema projects. Wilfried will be sharing his thoughts on the standard and its implications for the residential custom installation sector. Anyone connected to the residential custom installation sector is welcome to attend.

Following the keynote address, CEDIA will present a detailed review of the year at its AGM (CEDIA Members only). This will include reports on education, marketing, membership growth, finance and more, with the composition of the new CEDIA Board also revealed at the event. Members are then invited to stay for an evening of networking.

CEDIA Members who wish to attend the Keynote can purchase a ticket for £14.99. For non-members the price is £29.99. Entry to the AGM for CEDIA Members is free.
