CEDIA is reminding custom install companies across the EMEA region (UK, Europe, Russia and the CIS, the Middle East, Africa, India and Pakistan) to renew their annual membership by 31st January 2015. To continue access to CEDIA’s education programmes, literature, networking events, prestigious awards ceremony and much more, companies must register for membership by the end of the month.
"2014 was another successful year for both CEDIA and its members. Whilst membership across EMEA grew by a healthy 10%, we were also expanding back at CEDIA HQ, welcoming Steve Carter, our new Business Development Manager, Simon Buddle as Education Director and Membership Development Officer, Alex Brownhill to the team, ensuring all aspects of membership is attended to,” says Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director of CEDIA EMEA. “We also introduced new ECS Home Technology Integrator cards, developed our website to offer an even bigger range of literature free to our members to download and launched the Education Voucher Scheme."
CEDIA has already secured two dedicated training centres in both Northern and Southern regions within the UK, ensuring CEDIA’s education is as easily accessible to its members, regardless of location. Meanwhile, for members outside the UK, CEDIA will now offer an online education resource, allowing both members and non-members to complete a full training course from the home or the office.
This news is in line with CEDIA announcing brand new training courses for 2015. Not only will CEDIA’s popular Home Cinema course now run over an extended two-day session, but brand new training courses including a Lighting Design Package, Rack Building and Wiring Fundamentals course and Designer School have been added to CEDIA’s growing curriculum.

We stand rest assured that with the CEDIA logo on all our brand communications, we can guarantee our clients that we know what we are doing. CEDIA has given us access to vast resources relevant to our industry and most importantly continuous education for our staff. CEDIA has given us a platform to interact and collaborate with global professionals to share ideas, thoughts and best practices through avenues such as ISE and other global and local meetings.”

“We joined CEDIA recently after understanding how CEDIA ensures to keep high installation standards and gives possibilities to extend our knowledge in this field. Moreover, being a CEDIA member in Poland is distinctive to our clients and gives us credibility other installations do not have. The most important reason for us to join CEDIA was our willingness to promote high standards actively in our country.”
