CEDIA, one of the co-owners of ISE 2015, has experienced the most successful show to date, with over 400 visitors attending its education programme, and a number of companies signing up as members over the three days in Amsterdam.

ISE is the event of the year for the AV industry, and this became apparent with the show attracting 59,350 attendees this year. Representing an increase of 16.4% on ISE 2014, it highlights that the industry is continuing to thrive.

CEDIA put great emphasis on developing new and exciting training courses for custom install professionals who attended ISE this year. The Association delivered its largest training programme yet, offering a range of new courses including “An Introduction to KNX Technology”, “An Introduction to Building Management Systems”, “Ecological Automation – The Basics of Energy”, “Fifty First Dates – Finding Love for Your Brand Online” and “Working Profitably with Architects”.

Industry experts ran 24 workshops including four one-day training courses and twenty 90-minute sessions, training 435 people in total. Overall, the programme was extremely well received, with HDMI 2.0 – The Next Generation for Video Connectivity and Atmos, Auro 3D & More: Object Based Audio from the Cinema to the Home Theatre proving the most popular courses.

As always, ISE was a fantastic opportunity for CEDIA to meet with both members and non-members to explain the benefits that membership brings. With so many recent initiatives being launched, and exciting plans going forwards, it came as no surprise that CEDIA welcomed new members, from countries including the Ukraine and the UAE.

“Our membership is growing year on year, and we are reaching more countries in the EMEA region than ever before” explains Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director. “This is one of the reasons why ISE is such a great show for us.  With a large proportion of our members attending the show, we have the opportunity to develop relationships further and explain new and existing member benefits. ISE 2015 was an incredible event for us, and we look forward to building on this next year when it moves to a four day show.”

ISE in 2016 will take place from 9th-12th February. For more information on the show visit www.iseurope.org
